Washing your hair after a hair transplant: step by step
The monthly evolution of a hair transplant is a slow and sensitive process, that’s why the way you treat your hair in each stage is crucial (including on how you wash your hair). But do not worry, when you finish this post you will see that this care procedure is really simple and will not require any effort. In fact, you may even acquire new habits more suitable for general hair care and maintenance.
The temperature of the water should be as cool as possible, always with the intention of closing the accesses to the follicles, so that they are less exposed. This should be maintained both to wet the head and to rinse it afterwards. We understand that not all times of the year are suitable for showering with cold water but always try to put it at the minimum bearable graduation; it’s only a few days!
As far as pressure is concerned, it is very important that this is kept to a minimum during the first washings. Therefore, if you do not have an adjustable shower head and yours is powerful, we even advise you to pour the water from a container (a glass, a small vase, a bottle…) over your head.
You will have to tuilize the specific shampoo you are advised to consult. This is not for life, do not worry, you should only use it during some stages. Depending on how the evolutionary process develops you will return sooner or later to use a common shampoo.
By the way, do not hesitate and ask for advice on the best post hair surgery since the options on the market are endless.
The shampoo should foam on our hands, rubbing it between both palms, not on our head.
